Calling individuals who worked at JET
JET is a remarkable facility that has achieved remarkable things. Fusion would not be at the stage it is today without JET but, as you may know, it will cease operations at the end of this year.
If you have worked for the various organisations that have been involved with JET, ranging from the Joint Undertaking to EUROfusion, that have played a significant role in advancing fusion development through the Joint European Torus (JET), we cordially invite you to mark your calendar and join us in celebrating JET’s many achievements at Culham Campus (Culham Science Centre) on 28th February 2024.
The JET Celebration Day event will include speeches from dignitaries and members who worked at JET. There will also be group tours, a photography exhibition, official group photographs in the torus hall and refreshments. Of course, there will also be time to spend catching up with old colleagues and friends.
The event is now closed to new registrations.
Further and regular communications about the JET Celebration Day will be disseminated in due course.
The JET diaspora extends far and wide, so we kindly request you share this link with ex-colleagues who spent time working on JET.
We anticipate a high turnout and have a limit on the number of attendees for this event. We apologise for any inconvenience caused, but only individuals who have served on JET will be accommodated. Additionally, entry at the gatehouse will be restricted to pre-registered attendees only.
*Disclaimer – UKAEA reserves the right to cancel the event at short notice, whether due to inclement weather or other events outside of their control, and regrets that they will not be liable for monies already spent by attendees.
