Southern Scientific, part of the LabLogic Group, is a specialist supplier of radiation detection equipment for the Nuclear, Industrial, Medical, Defence, Security & Research sectors, with over 40 years of experience.
We can offer both installed and portable systems, with the aim of providing simple but effective solutions to our customer's detection needs.
All design and manufacturing takes place at our UK offices, where our team of highly knowledgeable engineers work together to bring our products from conceptualisation to market. Our Nuclear Services Department can offer bespoke hardware and software design, equipment hire, and are happy to discuss custom applications, while our capable team of Field Service engineers provide expert on-site installation and maintenance support. We have also recently opened a Radon Calibration facility at our site in Henfield, West Sussex, to build on our local support offering.
Southern Scientific's qualified technical sales team aim to provide honest and straightforward guidance to our wide range of customers, by identifying the most suitable solutions for any detection requirement or project. In addition to our own product lines, we are proud to represent products from a range of leading manufacturers, including Automess dose meters, Bertin Instruments radon monitors and environmental radiation detection systems, H3D's 3D-CZT gamma-ray imaging spectrometers, tritium monitoring solutions including Hidex liquid scintillation counters, and Teledyne FLIR identiFINDER handheld radioisotope identifiers.
Southern Scientific can also offer custom lead shielding and storage solutions for radiation protection through our partnership with Bright Technologies Ltd. All BriTec shielding is designed and manufactured in the UK with decades of specialist experience. Together, we support our clients to meet the requirements of IRR17 and ALARA through bespoke cabinets, safes, workstations and shielded cupboards to suit your laboratory, workflow and regulatory needs.
